Every country needs a LIVE TO GIVE because it takes a considerable load off from the government & puts citizens in charge of each other’s welfare.
About Live To Give (LTG)
LIVE TO GIVE is a registered foundation with an 80G accreditation. We were the recipients of the ‘Mother Teresa Award for Social Justice 2020’. It is a unique platform that enables the common man to make a difference from the comfort of his home. It works like a 24 hour helpline, that is created, monitored & funded by a pool of common citizens who come together to facilitate timely help to individuals, without excessive turn around time, or paperwork.
It is a one of a kind platform that enables common citizens, social workers, medical professionals & decision makers to come together to collectively identify, interact, verify & support needy individuals, directly, without the involvement of any intermediary or third party.
It is based on the belief that most people hold back from helping others, not because they lack the resources or the ability to contribute time or money, but because they are uncertain about whether their hard earned savings will, in fact, reach the deserving individuals.

Cooked meals for the homeless and marginalized communities:
Execution Plan:
The pandemic and specially the lockdown has lead a lot of people to lose their jobs and livelihood thus depriving them of basic necessities even long after the lockdowns have been withdrawn. This project focuses on distributing cooked meal packets to marginalized, underprivileged communities that are most severely affected due to the lockdown. Our Hunger and Poverty Mapping Study is an effort to collate empirical data to ensure that the most needy communities are reached first.
Each meal costs us approximately Rs 26/- (including operations and distribution costs)
Without access to nutritious food, vulnerable population has lowered immunity levels, which makes them susceptible to disease. Thus, access to nutritious food is a form of preventive medicine in itself.
We have successfully implemented a combination of technology and hundreds of on-ground volunteers to roll out a comprehensive hunger map of the city of Mumbai that allows us to precisely target the most deserving marginalized groups. ‘The Hunger Map’ is a result of complementary, evidence-based, multilevel, multidimensional and nuanced interventions that are centered around the thresholds of poverty, viewed through the prism of hunger.
We are currently targeting 10000 cooked meals per day and planning to scale to 15000 cooked meals a day over the next few months for the absolute destitute and jobless population who have limited or no resources for cooking food.
Type of beneficiaries: Destitutes/Underprivileged individuals
Number of beneficiaries: 15,000 per day per city
Cost breakup: 15,000* 4 cities * Rs. 26 per meal = Rs. 15,60,000 per day
Period/Date of program: 90 to 180 days
Cooked meals for frontline warriors who expose themselves to risk daily to keep the city in shape:
Execution Plan:
Distribute cooked meal packets to class 3 and class 4 staff at hospitals (sweeping staff, ward boys, security staff etc…), police departments, fire brigades and other frontline staff that works long hours and extended shifts so that the city can remain in good shape. These individuals, very often, after working extended shifts, have to start their day several hours in advance to cook food for themselves which they can consume during the day. A lot of them have field jobs with short or no breaks that deprive them from regular supply of nutritious meals on account of the lack of available options due to the lockdown. We are currently targeting 5000 cooked meals per day and planning to scale to 10000 over the next few months. Each meal costs us approximately Rs 26/- (including operations and distribution costs)
Type of beneficiaries: Destitutes/Underprivileged individuals
Number of beneficiaries: 5,000 per day per city
Cost breakup: 5000* 4 cities * Rs. 26 per meal = Rs. 5,20,000 per day

Create an education pool fund for marginalized families that have lost the sole breadwinner of the family to Covid:
Execution Plan:
To create a pool of funds that can be utilized towards funding school and college fees for children belonging to families where the sole breadwinner is diseased due to Covid. In India, there is a tendency for children to discontinue formal education to take care of the family expenses when the breadwinner of the house is diseased. An education pool fund would ensure that a child will not have the additional burden of school or college fees and be able to prioritize formal education. We are targeting a collection of Rs. 80 lakh (indian rupees) per month dedicated to this cause. As part of our transparency and fair practice commitment and to ensure appropriate end use, once a case meets the qualifying criteria, funds will directly and only be transferred to the beneficiary institutions (school or college) and not to any intermediary or to the families of the diseased.
Type of beneficiaries: Orphans/Those who have lost the sole breadwinner of the family to Covid or terminal illnesses
Number of beneficiaries: 100 per month per city
Average maximum sanction per student: Rs. 20,000
Cost breakup: 20,000* 4 cities * 100 cases per month = Rs. 80,00,000 per month
Period/Date of program: 180 to 1080 days
Recreation and entertainment musical program for old age homes & orphanages by visually impaired and disabled artists. All through the pandemic people have only focused on ration and meal distribution leaving out a very important aspect of recreation and change of atmosphere for those who are restricted and confined to their premise:
Execution Plan:
All through the pandemic people have only focused on ration and meal distribution leaving out a very important aspect of recreation and change of atmosphere for those who are restricted and confined to their premise. The goal is to conduct live musical shows at 100 old age homes, destitute homes and orphanages per city with a performing band which is specially abled or visually impaired. This proves as a dual advantage since it leads to recreation and motivation benefits for the elderly and neglected as well as a means of income for the specially abled. The need for this is a lot more after Covid because unlike earlier, many visitors have pulled back from visiting old age homes due to the fear of possible exposure to the virus thus leaving individuals at old age homes in utmost loneliness and despair. The cost of each such event is roughly Rs. 20,000 which includes 5 disabled artists, a full fledged band, sound, transport and all expenses on actuals.
Type of beneficiaries: Old age homes, orphanages, destitute homes, widow homes, homes for terminally ill patients ( Hospice)
Number of beneficiaries: 100 per month per city
Average maximum sanction per show: Rs. 20,000
Cost breakup: 20,000* 4 cities * 100 shows per month = Rs. 80,00,000 per month
Period/Date of program: 30 to 90 days
Kid’s Supplementary Nutrition Program:
The purpose of this program is to provide nutrition to children as this strain of covid has affected a lot more children than the previous ones and nutrition is key to keep their immunity up. Also, in many pockets, chronic hunger, leading to malnourishment and stunting is on-going and so we want to contribute our best to this cause for as long as possible.
The cost per kit is Rs 105/- per child . We are targeting 1500 children per week.
Number of beneficiaries: 6000 per month per city
Cost per kit: Rs. 105
Cost breakup: 6000* 4 cities * Rs.105 = Rs. 25,20,000 per month
Period/Date of program: 180-360 days
An All India Initiative to provide menstrual Hygiene products & trainings to girls & women:

Distribution of ready ration kits to those with multi disabilities:
There is very little awareness about this segment in particular. There are several individuals across the country who have more than one disability for example visually impaired as well as hearing and speech impaired. This segment of individuals find it extremely difficult to cope up at most special schools because the infrastructure is not conducive for their needs thus most of them drop out from school and are unable to earn a livelihood.
Post Covid, they are one of the worst hit segments
Number of beneficiaries: 100 per month per city
Cost per kit: Rs. 600
Cost breakup: 100* 4 cities * Rs.600 = Rs. 2,40,000 per month
